TOWN OF OCEAN VIEW NOTICE OF SOLICITATION OF CANDIDATES

The Town of Ocean View will elect a Councilperson from District 4 for 3-year term beginning April 2021.                   

Any resident of District 4 in the Town of Ocean View who meet the following qualifications is encouraged to file for the Council Seat in District 4: 

• Must be a minimum age of 18 years;
• Must be a U.S. citizen;
• Must be a resident for at least 1 year immediately preceding the date of election;
• Must be a resident of District 4 at the time of filing and during the full term of office;
• Must be a Town of Ocean View eligible registered voter.

Any District 4 resident who wishes to file as a candidate for District 4 Council Member must file a “Certification of Intention” and pay a $50 filing fee at the office of the Town Manager no later than 4:30pm on March 10, 2021. Due to COVID restrictions an appointment should be made with the Town Clerk @ 302-539-9797 x101 to file official documents. Masks and social distancing in effect in all government buildings.                 

The annual election of the Town of Ocean View will be held, on Saturday, April 10, 2021, between 8am and 5pm, at the Town Hall located at 32 West Avenue.
