POSTING OF ASSESSMENT LIST
The Town of Ocean View tax and assessment information is available online through our website beginning February 15th. Visit www.oceanviewde.gov/2022Reassessment. The property card database is searchable by property owner’s last name or by property location (street name) for informational purposes. Searchable documents will also be available online through our website.
Another option, as required by the Town of Ocean View Charter, Section 3.112 (A), the Assessment List for the Fiscal Year 2023 will be available for public inspection in the lobby of the Ocean View Administrative Offices located in the Wallace A. Melson Municipal Complex (201 Central Avenue) by appointment only from February 15, 2022, until March 7, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. To make an appointment for examination of all property assessments, please call (302) 539-9797 ext. 108 or email OVDE2022Reassessment@OceanViewDE.gov. COVID-19 restrictions are in place including the wearing of facemasks and social distancing.
Anyone that sat for an initial informal appeal will receive a letter in the mail form the Town Assessor with the outcome.
Town of Ocean View property owners interested in appealing their property assessment shall file a Property Value Appeal Form with the Town Manager’s office within twenty (20) days of February 15, 2022. This form is available on the Town’s website under “forms” or by emailing a Property Value Appeal form request to OVDE2022Reassessment@oceanviewde.gov. Appeals may be mailed (postmarked no later than March 7, 2022) to:

Informal appeal hearings will be held again March 1st – 15th with Pearson’s Appraisal Services. Any appeals which remain unresolved will be heard by the Board of Assessment between March 21st and March 25th. The Town will contact all appellants to schedule a formal appeal.
